Radiculopathy Dubai

Do you experience neck pain or back pain that goes down to the arms, hands, legs, and feet?

Do you experience tingling, “pins and needles” and numbness or shooting pain down the arms or legs?

You could have a Radiculopathy

Radiculopathy is an irritation or compression of a nerve root in the spine. People often call it a “pinched nerve”. But inflammation can cause irritation to the nerve even if the nerve is not pinched or compressed.

The pinched nerve can occur at different areas along the spine (cervical, thoracic and lumbar).

Causes of Radiculopathy:

  • Herniated discs
  • Degenerative changes- Bone spurs
  • Trauma
  • Spinal stenosis

Radiculopathy prevention:

While radiculopathy cannot always be prevented, staying physically fit and maintaining a healthy weight may reduce your risk of radiculopathy. Using best practices for good posture while sitting, playing sports, exercising, or lifting heavy objects is also important for preventing injuries.
