Did you know that more than a billion people in the world suffer from migraine? In fact, in the US alone about 10.4 workdays on average per year are lost by individual migraine sufferers. To make things more complicated, a large percentage of sufferers don’t even know they have the disease, which can make life extra difficult when interacting with other people – especially in the workplace. READ MOREDr Kayed graduated with honors (magna cum laude) from the University of Evansville in Indiana with a BSc degree in Biology in 1986. He next obtained his MD degree from St George’s University School of Medicine, Grenada in 1990. He next completed his Neurology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, USA where he also served as chief resident.
Thereafter, Dr Kayed obtained subspecialty fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at Allegheny University Hospitals (1997) and in Advanced Clinical Neurology / Pediatric Neurology at Jefferson University Hospital (1998), all in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
Dr Deeb Khayed is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at The MBRU School of Medicine, Dubai, UAE and Founding member of the Emirates Neurology Society.
